A trip to the local Owajimaya (asian grocery store) led me to this beauty. I’m not above trying new things, but this was a struggle.

Takoyaki soda (fried octopus ball) is one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted. If you’d imagine that this would taste fishy, you’d be right. It also tastes sugary, and starchy, and evil. Maybe like a rotten fish Christmas doughnut soaked in soy sauce. You do get a sense of some sort of fried breading, but everything is diluted in a syrupy water. And carbonated.

This is a no doubt 1 out of 10. Even sharing this with some other brave souls we did not finish the tiny bottle (DNF = Did Not Finish). It was hideous.
